October 14, 2025 Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship Organizes “Jordan–UK Tech Connect 2025” in London to Strengthen Partnerships in the Digital and Creative Economies
The Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship (MoDEE) organized the Jordan–UK Tech Connect 2025 forum in London under the patronage of His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II, in collaboration with the Embassy of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan in London, and with the support of the Jordan Source program.
The forum brought together technology and innovation leaders from Jordan and the United Kingdom to explore opportunities for collaboration and investment in digital transformation, creative industries, e-gaming, artificial intelligence, and digital services.
The discussions highlighted Jordan’s growing role in the gaming industry — one of the region’s fastest-growing creative sectors — with participation from leading Jordanian game studios such as Maysalward and Tamatem Games, as well as the Youth, Technology and Jobs (YTJ) project, which introduced Minecraft Education in Jordanian schools this year to enhance digital learning among students.
Participants emphasized Jordan’s vibrant tech ecosystem, combining a young, skilled workforce with a rapidly evolving digital infrastructure — making it an attractive destination for global companies investing in innovation and creative technology. British speakers also noted the UK’s extensive experience and strong investment in digital industries, positioning the two countries as strategic partners for mutual growth.
The Minister of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship, H.E. Eng. Sami Smeirat, stated:
“Jordan today has become a regional hub for digital innovation and a leading destination for investment in technology and creative industries. We welcome all British and international companies to visit Jordan, experience our dynamic business environment, and meet our talented young innovators who are shaping the future.”
H.E. the Minister also extended his gratitude to His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II for his continuous support of Jordan’s digital-transformation journey:
“We deeply appreciate His Royal Highness’s patronage of this forum and his steadfast commitment to empowering youth and driving Jordan’s progress toward a knowledge-based economy. His forward-looking vision continues to inspire innovation and strengthen Jordan’s position as a regional leader in technology and entrepreneurship.”
He added:
“Through the Jordan Source program and the National Council for Future Technologies, we continue to build international partnerships and create new opportunities in digital transformation, artificial intelligence, gaming, and digital education.”
On the sidelines of the visit, H.E. Eng. Sami Smeirat held a series of meetings with representatives of global technology companies, discussing potential investment opportunities in Jordan, knowledge transfer, and collaborations to support digital-transformation projects and digital-skills development.
The organization of this forum comes as part of the Ministry’s ongoing efforts to position Jordan as a regional hub for technology and entrepreneurship, expand international partnerships, and contribute to the growth of the national digital economy.
