The discussions took place during a virtual webinar titled "Bridging Innovation: Why Jordan Is Your Tech Gateway to the MENA Region," featuring Minister of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship Eng. Sami Smeirat and TEDCO CEO Troy LeMaile Stovall, alongside representatives from leading technology companies and institutions.
Participants emphasized the strategic relationship between Jordan and the United States and the value of leveraging the Jordan US Free Trade Agreement to unlock joint investment opportunities and facilitate company expansion into regional markets using Jordan as a launchpad.
The webinar highlighted Jordan's core competitive advantages in the technology sector, including a deep pool of skilled talent, advanced digital infrastructure, and a supportive regulatory environment. It also spotlighted the role of Jordan Source in enabling global companies to establish operations and scale across the region.
Representatives from MenaDevs, Denamica, and Aspire shared their experiences operating in regional markets, reinforcing Jordan's position as a strategic entry point to the MENA region given its flexible business environment and strong growth potential.
This cooperation aligns with the Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship's efforts to position Jordan as a regional hub for technology innovation and investment, in line with the Economic Modernisation Vision, and supports the growth of the digital economy while creating high quality opportunities for Jordanian youth.
