September 01, 2026 Jordan Source Hosts Jordanian Families to Build with AI Across Generations

Amman, Jordan 29 august 2026 Jordan Source, the national program promoting Jordans technology ecosystem under the Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship, hosted the Generational Buildathon in Amman this weekend in collaboration with MENA AI and Replit, and with the Crown Prince Foundation's youth outreach.

Participants worked to a single-day deadline and produced functioning software, building directly with AI-native development tools rather than working through prepared presentations or panel sessions.

The collaboration with MENA AI originates from Jordan Source's investment mission to the United Kingdom in October 2025, one of a series of outbound engagements the program runs to connect Jordanian technical capability with international technology companies and investors. Hosting the Buildathon in Amman marks the first delivery of that relationship on the ground in Jordan.

Jordan produces approximately 12,000 ICT graduates each year, in a country where close to two thirds of the population is under 30. Jordan Source works to make that talent base visible to international technology companies and to bring the partnerships and investment that put it to work locally.
